KEEPING LIVONIA SAFE

Fixing Livonia’s first responder shortage has been Maureen’s #1 priority. Livonia is now back to stable staffing with 41 new police officers and 20 firefighters hired in the past four years. That’s nearly double the number hired in the past six years combined.

FIXING OUR ROADS

Before anyone uttered the words “fix the damn roads,” Maureen was working on getting Livonia its fair share of funding for roads, streets, and sidewalks. In the past four years, 17 miles of major roads have been improved in Livonia. This year alone there were 50 local street projects -- setting a record for road construction.

CREATING JOBS FOR OUR KIDS

Maureen took the lead in building a partnership with Livonia’s public schools, universities, and businesses to create a workforce development program that connects high school students with job opportunities, apprenticeships, and internships.
